Mazda has used the 24 Hours of Daytona to introduce the 2025 MX-5 Miata 35th Anniversary Edition. It’s based on the range-topping Grand Touring trim and features an assortment of special touches.

Starting outside, the roadster has an Artisan Red Metallic exterior with a beige soft top. They’re joined by a body-color rear spoiler, a serialized badge on the rear fender, and 17-inch wheels with a bright finish.

Dropping the top reveals a tan Nappa leather interior as well as special headrests with a 35th Anniversary logo. Buyers will also find Artisan Red trim and a leather-wrapped steering wheel with tan contrast stitching. The model also has tan carpeting and a Nappa leather key fob sleeve.

The special edition comes nicely equipped with heated seats, a Bose audio system, and an 8.8-inch infotainment system with GPS navigation as well as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Other highlights should include automatic climate control and an auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink.

Motivation is provided by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 181 hp (135 kW / 184 PS) and 151 lb-ft (205 Nm) of torque. It’s connected exclusively to a six-speed manual transmission, which sends power to the rear wheels via a limited-slip differential. The 35th Anniversary Edition also has sport-tuned Bilstein dampers and a shock tower brace.

Production will be limited to 300 units and pricing starts at $36,250 before a $1,185 destination fee. That’s a $1,620 premium over the manual MX-5 Miata Grand Touring, which begins at $34,630.
