This “Bespoke” Ferrari Mondial Raises More Questions Than Eyebrows

  • The Ferrari EB-Million is a unique take on the Mondial T that appeared for sale on eBay.
  • The custom bodywork is made of steel, and the interior has been converted to a two-seater.
  • The sports car retains its stock underpinnings, including the mid-mounted Ferrari V8.

When you think of a coachbuilt Ferrari, Italian companies like Touring Superleggera or Zagato likely come to mind. However, this is not the case with the Ferrari EB-Million, a rather uniquely modified example of the Ferrari Mondial T which is currently up for grabs on eBay.

At first glance, the model resembles one of the Fiero-based supercar replicas we’ve seen over the years, but it actually features genuine Ferrari underpinnings. The bodywork is entirely custom and crafted from steel. In fact, the only exterior components carried over from the Mondial T are the front glass, the A-pillars, and the side windows.

The designer aimed to integrate exotic styling cues into the mid-engined layout, though the execution could have been better. At the front, noticeable features include TVR-style headlights on bulging fenders, a vented hood with prominent shut lines, and a sharp nose.

The tail is even harder to digest, looking like a cheap and ill-proportioned copy of the Pagani Zonda. The donor car’s rear greenhouse section has been removed, creating a longer rear deck adorned with a gaudy spoiler adorned with Ferrari decals (at least until Maranello’s lawyers catch wind of its existence).

The beefy fenders, decorated with red decals, dwarf the alloy wheels, making them appear small. The roof-mounted intake likely serves to cool the engine but could benefit from a redesign. The same critique applies to the diffuser, dual tailpipes, and rear mesh, which resemble components from a toy car. Inside, the donor Ferrari’s 2+2 seating arrangement has been replaced with a two-seater cabin bathed in vibrant yellow upholstery.

The EB-Million retains the stock mid-mounted 3.4-liter V8 engine of the Ferrari Mondial T, producing a respectable 296 hp (221 kW / 300 PS) and 324 Nm (239 lb-ft) of torque. According to the listing, the engine and the transmission have been overhauled, so we expect them to be in good working order.

The seller admits that the vehicle is polarizing, adding that it is destined for the “individualists”. As for the “average person who likes standard simplicity”, they are prompted to move on, and keep looking for cars that “they like and can afford”.

The only Ferrari EB-Million in the world is located in Reche, Germany, and could be yours for an eye-watering price of €122,500 ($130,820). This is quite shocking if you consider that prices for genuine examples of the Ferrari Mondial currently range between €45,000-95,000 ($48,000-101,500) in Europe.

For the record, the highest price for this particular model in recent years was achieved by a 1992 Ferrari Mondial T Cabriolet, that fetched $140,000 on a Bring a Trailer auction in August 2023.
