Jeep Wagoneer 4xe Coming With Ramcharger Range-Extended Powertrain
Jeep officials have reportedly confirmed plans for Wagoneer 4xe variants. The models will reportedly use a range-extended powertrain similar to the Ram 1500 Ramcharger. Jeep makes two of the best-selling plug-in hybrids in America, so it’s not surprising to learn more are on the horizon. Besides the recently confirmed Gladiator 4xe , the company is also working on electrified Wagoneers. According to Autoblog , Jeep CEO Antonio Filosa confirmed the news at the Wagoneer S launch and revealed the models will borrow heavily from the Ram 1500 Ramcharger. The latter is a range-extended pickup, which features a 92 kWh battery as well as a dual-motor all-wheel drive system producing 663 hp (494 kW / 672 PS) and 615 lb-ft (833 Nm) of torque.
