Jeep Wagoneer 4xe Coming With Ramcharger Range-Extended Powertrain

Jeep officials have reportedly confirmed plans for Wagoneer 4xe variants. The models will reportedly use a range-extended powertrain similar to the Ram 1500 Ramcharger. Jeep makes two of the best-selling plug-in hybrids in America, so it’s not surprising to learn more are on the horizon. Besides the recently confirmed Gladiator 4xe , the company is also working on electrified Wagoneers. According to Autoblog , Jeep CEO Antonio Filosa confirmed the news at the Wagoneer S launch and revealed the models will borrow heavily from the Ram 1500 Ramcharger. The latter is a range-extended pickup, which features a 92 kWh battery as well as a dual-motor all-wheel drive system producing 663 hp (494 kW / 672 PS) and 615 lb-ft (833 Nm) of torque. Now, the organizers have made the definitive decision to call it quits. The Geneva Auto Show will not be returning to Switzerland for 2025, with no intention of revival thereafter. U.S. Sues Hyundai Over Child Labor After Finding 13 Y.O. Working Up To 60 Hours A Week At Supplier

The U.S. is suing Hyundai as well as two other companies for using child labor. The government alleges a 13-year-old was working up to 60 hours per week building body panels at a supplier for Hyundai. While Hyundai doesn’t appear to have been directly involved, they owned a majority stake in the supplier and had significant sway over it. The U.S. Department of Labor has sued three companies, including Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama , to prevent them from “employing children illegally.” The government is also seeking to seize all profits related to the “use of oppressive child labor.” The lawsuit follows a government investigation, which found a 13-year-old was working up to 50-60 hours per week on an assembly line in Luverne, Alabama.
