Ford Super Duty Front Windows Are Hungry For Fingers, Recall Announced

Image
Manufacturers bombard us with so many new safety innovations nowadays that we can forget about some of the less exotic technical advances that have been quietly keeping us safe from harm for years. Okay, so the anti-pinch systems that save our kids’ fingers from getting trapped when we flick a switch to roll up the rear window without being able to see what’s going on back there aren’t exactly on a par with seatbelts or anti-lock brakes in the pantheon of safety systems. But pre-anti-pinch windows had a nasty bite so it’s reassuring to know that all modern glass is non-carnivorous. Or so we thought because it seems the windows in Ford’s big passenger trucks might still have a taste for human sausages. The automaker has announced a recall of certain 2023 Super Duty F250, F350, F450, and F550 trucks because their driver and front passenger windows might not detect an obstacle and automatically reverse direction. Just under 1,340 F-Series trucks that were supposed to be re-flashed

Saab Factory Owner Reportedly Confirms NEVS Emily GT To Be Built In Trollhattan

Image
News that the NEVS Emily GT electric car project appears to have been saved has really caught the attention of car enthusiasts. But if you’re anything like us you’re probably asking yourself if it’s really going to happen, or if plans to bring ‘Saab’ back from the dead will founder long before a production car rolls out of the factory. Well, if there’s one person who’s in a better position than most to tell us how real the prospects of Emily making production are, it’s the man who owns the factory where it will be made. And that man, Swedish millionaire and real estate investor Svante Andersson, seems convinced the fairytale is going full steam ahead, according to an interview Andersson gave with Swedish newspaper TTELA that was picked up by Saab Planet . Andersson, whose Stenhaga Invest firm bought the former Saab factory in Trollhattan in May of this year, told TTELA that there will be “full activity” at the plant by this fall. Some of the space will be used for car production

The all-new all-electric Chevrolet Blazer is already on its way to dealers and we know what some trim levels will cost when they arrive. While the bowtie brand didn’t spill all the tea on its latest EV offering it did announce range figures, pricing, and more on at least three trim levels. Chevrolet is already in the process of building the first production units of the Blazer RS AWD. It says that dealers can expect these cars in August and that they’ll have an MSRP of $60,215. It has a range of 279 miles (449 km) on a full charge. Production and deliveries of the RS RWD and 2LT AWD start at a later date though Chevy didn’t specify when. The former gets an MSRP of $61,790 and an estimated 320 miles of range while the latter is priced at $56,715 with the same range as the RS AWD. Tesla Continues High-Level Talks With Indian Officials About Factory Plans

Image
Tesla’s efforts to enter the Indian market are ramping up with two senior executives from the car manufacturer recently meeting with officials from the nation’s investment promotion arm. In May, Tesla made a proposal to establish a large factory in India some 12 months after it paused its plans to enter the market. Last year, Tesla had hoped that it could sell its EVs in India by importing them from the United States and China and asked for it to be exempt from local important tariffs set as high as 100%. Indian officials refused to make such an exception. Reuters now understands that Tesla’s senior public policy and business development executive Rohan Patel and vice president for supply chain Roshan Thomas are currently in Delhi and have had talks with Invest India, including its chief executive Nivruti Rai. Although details about these meetings have been kept private, Tesla is also believed to be meeting with Indian commerce minister Piyush Goyal about the land allotment for a

Facelifted BMW M3 Spied With New Lights, But Will It Get More Power To Battle AMG C63?

Image
Our spy photographers have already tracked down prototypes of the facelifted BMW M4 Coupe and Convertible, but the one car missing from that family lineup scoop was the M3 sedan. Consider that remedied with these images of a mildly disguised example of the M3 snapped on test in Germany. Like the two-door M cars, this M3 is keeping the visual changes low-key. Though the camo wrap on the nose makes it hare to see the contours of the front bumper, a comparison of the intake shapes suggests it’s the exact same bumper that’s fitted to the current car. What has definitely been revised is the design of the headlights, in particular the look of the DRLs, which now consist of a thicker LED fang between the two lights in each lamp unit, plus another fat LED in the outer corner of each cluster. The new lights look similar, but not identical to the ones fitted to the facelifted 2023 3-Series, the M3’s lights appearing to display a more aggressive ‘Hofmeister’ kink in the DRL. The overall shap

Ford Bronco Vs Kia Telluride And Subaru Forester Demonstrates What A Real Off-Roader Is All About

Image
The popularity of off-road and soft-road driving has grown in recent years and automakers have responded. That response has been to add packages to their everyday vehicles that make them appear more capable when the road runs out. Here’s a real-world test between the Kia Telluride X-Pro, the Subaru Forester Wilderness, and a real off-roader, the Ford Bronco. The Kia and Subaru are excellent examples of this trend toward rugged-looking SUVs that might be more style than substance. What ultimately matters is how they fair in the real world so Edmunds took the trio out to five test scenarios. They include a sand wash, a concrete stepped obstacle, a trail with undulating dirt waves, an uphill climb with big ruts, and a steeper but smoother climb. In the first test, the three SUVs fare quite similarly. The Bronco, Telluride, and Forester have little issue managing power and braking on a dirt surface. The next test, climbing a short concrete step pyramid, is where the roads diverge a bit.

This 1992 Venturi 400 Trophy Is A True Street-Legal Racecar

Image
The Venturi 400 GT is an oft-forgotten, but fascinating French supercar from the ’90s, and you could now own this esoteric piece of motoring history and win best-in-show at every Cars and Coffee meet you care to attend. Although no longer original, this is actually even cooler than a simple Venturi 400, because it is one of the 73 examples that were built for racing in the Gentleman Drivers Trophy. The series campaigned throughout Europe on some of its most famous tracks, in a single-make racing series conceived of by Stephane Ratel – the man behind SRO Motorsports Group which today runs the Total 24 Hours of Spa, and the Intercontinental GT Challenge, among others. Originally painted blue and yellow, this example raced in 1992, but was painted red before being exported to Japan in 1993. There, it was modified to be roadworthy by its new owner, and was even featured on the legendary TV series Best Motoring . Read: Would You Buy This 354-Mile, Manual-Shift Ferrari 348 TB Over A N
