Ford Has Sold Its 50,000th Mustang Mach-E In Europe
Hakan and Berrin Can of Warendorf, Germany, today took delivery of their shiny, new Ford Mustang Mach-E. But it wasn’t just any example, theirs was the 50,000th Mustang Mach-E ever delivered.
The car was presented to the young couple at the Ford-Autohaus Ebbert GmbH dealership in Gütersloh, in the north-west of Germany. The couple say they transitioned to the new EV because of a new addition to their family.
“My wife and I chose the Mustang Mach-E because we have needed a family-friendly car since the birth of our son Nesim,” said Hakan. “We were particularly impressed by the design, the generous space and the overall technical package. I am convinced that electric vehicles are the future.”

Clearly in a hurry to get their newborn to daycare, the couple didn’t opt for just any Mustang Mach-E, instead they went for the high-performance GT model. The EV delivers 480 hp (358 kW/487 PS) and 634 lb-ft (860 Nm) of torque.
Finished in Absolute Black, the model comes standard with all-wheel-drive and the Extended Range battery, which means they will be able to go 304 miles (490 km) between charges (according to the WLTP test cycle).
“Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Can, for choosing the Mustang Mach-E and thus not only a beautiful, but also a practical electric car,” said Patrick Schenzler, Ford’s director of passenger cars for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. “For us as a company, but also for our Ford dealerships, the delivery of the 50,000th Mustang Mach-E is a milestone on our common path to an electrified future.”
In all, Ford has sold more than 8,600 Mustang Mach-Es in Germany, making it the second-biggest market in Europe, behind Norway, where 10,400 examples of the all-electric crossover have been sold.
