Brabus and Sunreef Yachts have unveiled the Ultima 55. The luxury catamaran can accommodate up to six guests. It features Brabus styling cues including carbon and leather. Brabus recently announced a collaboration with AB Yachts to unveil a new boat at the Monaco Yacht Show in September. However, that hasn’t stopped the tuning firm from teaming up with Sunreef Yachts to introduce the Brabus Ultima 55. As the name suggests, the model is a 55.8-foot (17-meter) luxury catamaran that embraces the Brabus aesthetic. This sees the boat adopt a Graphite Black or Phantom Gray exterior with carbon fiber accents. Well, according to a new study from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, it very well could be, although even the IIHS acknowledges the limitations of comparing accident data of self-driving vehicles to regular cars and motorists. To determine the safety of Waymo’s vehicles , IIHS members analyzed 50 million miles of Waymo driving between 2021 and 2024 throughout San Francisco, Los Angeles, Phoenix, and Austin, and compared it against data from 222 billion miles recorded by human drivers over the same period in the same cities. Land Rover has an aging lineup, but one of it’s oldest members is heading for the exit. We’re talking about the Discovery Sport , which was launched in 2014 following a $256 million investment into their Halewood plant. The brand’s entry-level model used to be pretty popular, but age has taken its toll. In the most recent quarter, sales were down 49.3% to 2,452 units. That made it Land Rover’s slowest-selling vehicle, putting it behind the Discovery (2,561) and Range Rover Velar (4,605).
