See The First 2022 Super Bowl Car Ads, Including Nissan’s Z Coupe And Kia’s EV6

Image
A host of car manufacturers have confirmed that they will air commercials during Super Bowl LVI, including the likes of General Motors, Kia, BMW , Nissan, and Toyota. BMW’s commercial could prove to be particularly significant as the automaker hasn’t advertised during the Super Bowl since 2015. That commercial featured former Today Show hosts Katie Couric and Bryant Bumbel and promoted the BMW i3. The German car manufacturer won’t reveal what the focus of this year’s commercial will be but it is very likely that it will have at least some focus on the brand’s EVs. Someone Superglued A C5 Corvette Rear End To A Nissan 200SX

Image
We’ve seen some weird mishmash cars over the years, however this weird Nissan 200SX might just take the cake. This bizarre 200SX has been listed up for sale by B. Verstappen Bedrijfswagens (no relation to F1 champion Max Verstappen) in the Netherlands. From the front, it looks like any other 200SX but from the rear, things take a turn for the worse. For some strange reason, the owner of this 200SX somehow thought it would look good with the rear fascia of a C5 Corvette . It doesn’t. While it is hard to know if this is a genuine C5 rear end, it certainly looks like the real thing and is at odds with the rest of the car’s design. Watch Also: Fondly Remembering The Nissan Silvia (And 240SX We Got Stateside) In its day, the C5 Corvette was a very cool car but that doesn’t mean its design gels with that of the 200SX. This is especially apparent by the fact that the ‘Vette’s rear bumper is way too big for the Nissan and sticks out like a sore thumb. It really looks as though someone...

QOTD: What’s The Most Annoying Tuning Trend Today?

Image
2021 in particular felt like the year of highly customized classics. Tuning has become a refined art since the Singers and the Ringbrothers of the world have come to prominence. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t still annoying trends. There are a few that annoy me, personally. Massive wheels on classic cars frustrate me, ugly and overly aggressive body kits for more recent models inspire confusion in me, an overreliance on carbon fiber fills me with contempt, while uninspired car choices bore me. A recent celebrity car, though, has reminded me of one of the tuning trend I find the most irritating. It was while covering Kevin Hart’s newly completed 1969 Plymouth Road Runner that I realized that I just don’t like engine bays that are so clean they look anonymous. Getting Hit By A Flying Towbar Is The Stuff Of Nightmares

Image
Driving brings with it all kinds of risks but one risk we had never thought of having to deal with is a towbar falling off the car traveling in front of you. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what happened to a motorist in Australia in late January and the entire thing was caught on dashcam . During the clip, the cammer can be seen traveling behind a Toyota Hilux on the South Eastern Freeway in South Australia. They are driving at a very safe distance from the Hilux but not even that helped them as at the 7-second mark of the video, the towbar of the Hilux can be seen falling off. It bounces off the road multiple times, somersaulting through the air before slamming into the windshield of the cammer.
