This Looks To Be The Refreshed 2024 Tesla Model 3

Image
A handful of images have just surfaced online that allegedly show the mid-life refresh to the Tesla Model 3 , known internally as ‘Project Highland.’ If real, the images depict a Model 3 that looks a touch more modern than the outgoing model but one that still looks familiar. These photos were sent to us by a tipster but the authenticity of them cannot be confirmed. While it’s certainly possible that these are genuine images from Tesla that got into the wrong hands, it’s also possible that they are accurate renderings of what someone believes the new Model 3 will look like. Whatever the case may be, let’s talk about the updated design. The original Mini Cooper is without a doubt one of the automotive world’s great classics, and now the Gildred Racing team is looking to thoroughly modernize it. Using Tesla components, the company has decided to offer EV fun in a classic package. Dubbed the Super Cooper EV, it replaces the original running gear with a battery pack and electric motor borrowed from Tesla and provided by Electric Classic Cars. With a motor taken from a Model S or X, the new drivetrain gives the Mini nearly 300 hp (224 kW/304 PS) and 250 lb-ft (339 Nm) of torque. Meanwhile, the batteries provide the Super Cooper EV with up to 150 miles (241 km) of range. Each example can be customized for its owner, with modifications to the tuning of the acceleration, throttle, and regenerative braking all possible. Ford GT Was Never Supposed To Happen, Automaker Actually Wanted To Win Le Mans With A Mustang

Image
When Ford went to Le Mans in 2016 and won a class victory with a modern version of the GT40 that had taken overall victory 50 years earlier, it seemed like a perfect tribute to its own history. But it’s not actually the story the blue oval had envisioned. Ford knew that the 50th anniversary of its legendary Le Mans victory was coming up, and it knew that it wanted to work with Multimatic to try and get another W at the famed French endurance race. But it wanted to win with a Mustang. “When we decided to make Mustang global – to sell it around the world in left- and right-hand drive – for the previous generation, we knew the 50th anniversary of the Le Mans win was coming up,” Ford CEO Jim Farley told Top Gear recently. “We started to talk inside the company about winning Le Mans with the Mustang.” Read: The Ford GT Is A Legitimate Race Car For The Road So the company started doing some research. It spoke to the regulators in charge of Le Mans and America’s sports car champions

2024 Jeep Compass Gets A Light Refresh, Starts At $28,400

Image
The Jeep Compass is showing its age, so the automaker is trying to keep it fresh by announcing a handful of updates for 2024. The changes are unsurprisingly minor, but the crossover receives restyled wheels as well as a “new front grille insert treatment.” The Compass Trailhawk also trades the current Falken WildPeak H/T tires for new Falken Wildpeak AT3W rubber. While there isn’t much to get excited about, Jeep is holding the line on pricing as the Compass continues to start at $28,400. That’s significantly less than the Ford Bronco Sport, which begins at $31,320. Higher-end trims see slight changes as the Compass Latitude climbs from $32,940 to $33,040. However, the range-topping High Altitude falls from $39,285 to $38,790 for a $495 savings.
